To anyone who says this is bad because we're at war: Sac up you pussies. Jesus.

Hard Alcohol doesn't advertise on T.V. because of some sort of weird voluntary ban. The production values are exceptional. The doctor's acting is a little off. With the wartime violence and amputation scenes this spot would only apeal to men, women would be too put off. I think this is great for a directors reel but because of hard alcohol not advertising it might seem spec.

Bad, bad, bad. This is in particularly bad taste during wartime. And very obvious, not clever. Good production values, though. But it's just flat-out bad.

Not a good commercial in the current war environment.

This is nowhere near the line... you can't even see the line from here.

To hell with the line - this is an ad guys would have loved - it's as funny as hell - and the ending is great

Ya' know ...there really is a line that shouldn't be crossed in humor. By the way, this is it.

That was pretty drawn out, but I liked that the infirmary turned into a little Jim Beam social club. Third leg gag wasn't great.

Triple amputation? Is he insinuating they amputated his "third leg" or...?

I can see all letters from real war amputees.

I agree on many points already made. I can see dollar signs. Great production value. I would have ended with the boot drop and the nice pour scene. Great job though.

That looks like a big budget commercial.

I agree with the prior post... perhaps this is the 60 second version. Perhaps the 30 second spot could have ended at the "boot drop" or even the pour shot, and gone right to the tag. The joke was already well exposed before the "whole bottle" portion. Still, a superb spot, on many levels; Art direction, editing, lighting, photography, telecine, concept, writing, direction, casting, acting....

Funny. A little written on the nose at the end "a whole bottle?" could be edited out. Great idea, good execution.
